Geneva Switzerland, is a must see for anyone - no doubt about it. It is one of the most beautiful cities in the world, offering both old culture and new.

The city is situated on Lake Geneva, where River Rhone flows out of the lake; the peaks of the Alps and the Jura ridges surround the city.

It is the second most populated city in Switzerland and is recognized as a truly international city due to the many international organizations that are present there such as the Red Cross, WHO and WTC. It is also known as it is where the Geneva Conventions were signed in 1864, 1906, 1929 and finally in 1949.

The region has magnificent mountain landscapes and a spectacular countryside with chalets, villas and ski apartments. There are also numerous places to stay in Geneva for every budget.

The lake and the river Rhone divide the city into two parts. The north bank is more modern, the south bank is filled with streets that are mostly for shopping and banking. There are lots of historical buildings and winding alleys in this area.
